About Us

Tyzenhauz Apartments is a company founded in 2012 by Karolina Kwapińska and Andrzej Pietruski, a pair of architects and travelers. The name of the company is a tribute to the whole Tyzenhauz family, and in particular Andrzej’s grandmother, Nadina Tyzenhauz-Pietruska.

Over the years members the family held the highest offices and managed numerous land estates in the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The legend has it that the name is associated with “a thousand homes,” which they possessed.
